The evolution of Ethernet from 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps will be shown, including new applications in the WAN/MAN area. A brief outlook to Infiniband and 10 Gbps Fibrechannel will be given. The section about WDM will cover new developments in Optical communications, specially also Optical Control Plane options like O-UNI and MPLambdaS. The section about MPLS will concentrate on relatively new MPLS Services like "foo over MPLS" and Protection/Restoration in IP/MPLS.
